    Jim currently holds an active Real Estate Brokers License as an independent resident broker in Arkansas, a non-resident broker in Florida, Kansas and Missouri. From 2012 to 2018 Jim was a broker associate with Platinum Commercial in Overland Park, Kansas working with small business owners and investors on small balance commercial real estate investments and tenant representations.


    Jim has a broad range of experience in commercial and residential real estate including investment property sales, business brokerage, leasing, commercial property sales, investment analysis, real estate auctions, new homes sales and marketing and real estate development. Jim has had 20 years of experience in the new home industry, as a sales and marketing specialist, sales manager/broker, builder and developer. Since completing his first commercial brokerage transaction in 1980, Jim has gained experience in all commercial property segments including office, retail, industrial, vacant land, senior housing, medical, multifamily business brokerage (such as car washes) and hospitality.


    Jim has worked extensively in the real estate auction industry over his career, having graduated from the Missouri Auction School in 1982 and worked with the Resolution Trust Corp. (FDIC) as a Regional Auction Coordinator during the S&L Crisis of the early 1990's. In 2017 Jim served as a Part Time Auction Coordinator for Auction.com ( the nations largest online real estate auction company) in NW Arkansas, handling non-jurisdictional foreclosures in Benton and Washington County.

    LifeStyle Properties specialized in the sales and marketing of new home communities across the greater Kansas City area. Jim served as sales and marketing director for dozens new home communities, working with multiple area builders and developers and managing a staff of a dozen real estate professionals.


    During his career, Jim has awards many new homes sales awards including acknowledgment for nearly $30 Million in New Home Sales annually and he earned designations and certification from the National Association of Home Builders, including Certified New Home Sales Professional (CSP), New Home Marketing Professional (CMP), Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS)and Certified Active Adult Specialist in Housing (CAASH).


    The primary market focus for LifeStyle Properties was maintenance-provided communities as well as communities that were either age-qualified or designed for active adults and busy h professionals and he gained a depth of experience in marketing and selling to that market segment. He developed his first maintenance-provided community in 1993.

    Century 21 Heartland Realty

    – 2004
    Century 21 Heartland Realty, under Jim’s leadership grew to become one of the top five Century 21 office’s in the Century 21 Heartland Region as well as the top Century 21 office in the Metro Kansas City area and the State of Kansas. The firm was involved in over $100 million in new home sales as well as substantial activity in resale, relocation and commercial real estate sales, leasing and development during Jim’s time there.
